For fresh tattoos, wash gently with a mild antibacterial soap and pat dry with a clean paper towel. Using clean hands, apply a very thin, even layer of Ink Balm to your tattoo. Ink Balm is designed to melt at body temperature. If Ink Balm is thicker or harder than desired, we suggest softening a small amount between clean palms before application. Repeat washing and application of Ink Balm as needed, 2-5 times per day.

Ink Balm can be used alone or with our Ink Spray for a complete aftercare system. For best results, we recommend applying only Ink Spray after washing for the first 2-3 days of healing, or until the skin is dry and tight. Then begin applying Ink Balm after applying Ink Spray to hydrate skin and prevent cracking. When used together, Ink Spray should always be applied before Ink Balm for maximum absorption. Ink Spray can also be used in between washing to relieve discomfort and itching. Continue use until your tattoo is fully healed.
